<p>A pliable pad (1) is provided with expandable portions (8) that can be deployed to assist the user in shaping the pliable pad (1) into a basin (2). Folded or crinkled regions can be provided for connecting portions of the pliable pad that are to provide end walls (7) for the basin (2), when deployed, with portions of the pliable pad (1) that are to provide the side walls (6) for the resulting basin (2). Selected portions of the pliable pad (1) can be provided with the expandable portions (8) or, if desired, the entire structure of the pliable pad can be provided with expandable structures. The expandable portions (8) are preferably coupled with structures for developing a hinge (14) that can assist in effective deployment of the expandable portions (8), and the pliable pad (1), to form the desired basin-like shape.</p> |
