The shoe (1) for long-distance running has a thick sole (2) with cutouts at the heel (3) and the ball of the foot (5). An outer sole is held on an inner sole by a set of coil springs (4). There are movement limiter rods (6) inside each of the coil springs. An alternative version of the shoe for short sprints has an extended sprung region at the ball of the foot.
