The hydraulic control valve unit to control a hydraulic lifting device includes a control valve (4) and flow regulator (20). A pressure signal acting in the direction of the shut-off position of the flow regulator is influenced by means of a splitter which has a first restrictor installed in a control pressure line connecting a control face of the flow regulator, acting the direction of the shut-off position, to a lift cylinder, and a second restrictor installed in a control pressure line connecting the aforesaid flow regulator control face to the reservoir. An Independent claim is included for a use for the hydraulic control valve unit which is for the control of a lift drive in an industrial truck.
