The robot hand (7) pivots on the end of a jointed arm (10) and carries a gripper (6) with beams (28) swiveling on a vertical axis (12). The beams carry an array of e.g. suction heads (29) to hold each workpiece (4) as it is moved across from the first to the second workpiece.</p>
