A high-strength aluminum alloy for casting is disclosed, comprising 3.5 to 4.3 % of Cu, 5.0 to 7.5 % of Si, 0.10 to 0.25 % of Mg, not more than 0.2 % of Fe, 0.0004 to 0.0030 % of P, 0.05 to 0.2 % of Sb, and the balance comprising Al and unavoidable impurities. Also disclosed is a high-strength cast aluminum alloy obtained by: casting a high-strength aluminum alloy for casting comprising 3.5 to 4.3% of Cu, 5.0 to 7.5% of Si, 0.10 to 0.25% of Mg, not more than 0.2 % of Fe, 0.0004 to 0.0030 % of P, 0.05 to 0.2 % of Sb, 0.05 to 0.35 % of Ti, and the balance comprising Al and unavoidable impurities; and subjecting the alloy thus cast to a T6 treatment. <IMAGE>
