<p>A colourant additive composition for addition to a thermoplastic moulding composition is disclosed, wherein the colourant composition comprises at least one reducible colourant, such as a vat dye. In one aspect, the colourant is uniformly dispersed in an inert liquid carrier, such as a hydrocarbon, alcohol, ester, or a mixture thereof. The thermoplastic composition may comprise a polyester, such as polyethylene terephthalate, which upon addition of the colourant, may be used to make bottles. Such bottles can be recycled by subjecting the material to reducing conditions sufficient to cause a change in colour.</p> |
