Method for monitoring warp yarns and warp stop motion for a weaving loom

A catch-thread monitoring device is associated with a weakly tensioned warp thread such as a pile thread in a weaving machine, has numerous electrical signalling contact lamella. A lamella triggers an electrical signal when the thread is moved. The contact lamella esp. pivots between two electrical contact points. The warp thread is drawn through an eye in the respective lamella pendulum. The lamella completes an electrical circuit by falling under gravity to the contact when the thread breaks, interrupting the weaving process. If the thread becomes jammed in the pendulum aperture, the pendulum is pulled and completes a second electrical circuit to emit a warning. Also claimed is a commensurate weaving loom warp thread monitoring process.
