Shut-off gate valve in particular for pneumatic transport pipes

The shut-off slide (1) for especially the pneumatic feed lines of swarf extraction systems has a housing (2) with pipe connections (4,5) and upon which is mounted a shut-off element (6) transferable from an open position to a closed position. The shut-off element is mounted to pivot on the housing by a pivot point (8) lying outside the pipe connections. The housing has an oval base contour. The pivot point of the shut-off element lies in a vertical plane intersecting the housing in the middle. The shut-off element is fitted on the drive shaft (7) of a gear motor (9).
