Drier cloth for bringing a strip of paper into contact with the heated drying cylinders in the drier section of a paper-making machine, the cloth surface in contact with the paper, reflects radiant energy emitted by the hot drier cylinders, so that this energy passes through the paper strip again and increases its rate of drying as well as reducing thermal degradation of the cloth. Pref. the treated surface is aluminium. |
