PURPOSE:To provide a simple device capable of magnifying an image on a liquid crystal display device or the like. CONSTITUTION:Plural paths 7 tying a light receiving face and its display image in the image magnification device 1 are provided to a base part 2 made of a light transmissive material having the light receiving face 3 installed opposite to the screen of an image display device 5 and the display screen 4 almost in parallel with the light receiving face 3 and whose area is larger than the area of the light receiving face and the optical paths are made of a 2nd light transmissive material whose refractive index is higher than that of the 1st transmissive material. As a result, a light being an image output of the display device is received from the light receiving face of the base part, the light is reflected at a critical angle on a boundary face between the 1st and 2nd transmissive materials and carried in the optical paths, and the light is carried up to the display screen whose screen area is larger than that of the light receiving face, on which the light is displayed on a magnified pattern. |
