A plastic pipe, especially for a warm water heating unit, comprises a polyolefin mantle and an outer oxygen barrier layer. The latter consists of a polymer, which contains hydroxyl groups, and is formed by oxygenating the polyolefin mantle surface. The pipe is formed by extruding a polyolefin mantle, cooling it and then applying an oxygen barrier layer. |
