Manufacture of compartmented textile sleeve e.g. for cables, consists of weaving flat strip with alternating tubular sections and joints

The sleeve (10) is made by weaving a flat strip of material with alternating tubular sections (11, 12, 13) separated by joints (14, 15). The tubular sections are made by a double-sided weaving process, using thermoplastic monofilament yarns, and the joints between them are woven with a double weft yarn. Each of the sleeves can contain a cable puller for drawing an electrical or optical cable through it.
