An adjustable hinge, suitable for doors and windows, has hinge members 1 and 2 secured to carrier pins 4 fixable in prebored holes, at least one such pin having a portion with a screw thread 3 of a pitch not exceeding 1.5 mm and a smooth cylindrical portion which is disposed between the threaded portion and the associated hinge member, the pin being adapted to enter one of the prebored holes to provide for fixture of an attached door or window 6, and to correct the position of the door or window by turning the pin, the smooth cylindrical portion being of such a length along the longitudinal axis of the pin that its maximum amount of entry into the hole does not exceed 3 mm. |
