<p>A method and computer system for interactively and dynamically generating one or more user interface views of a data source (105') on a display (102), memory means (103) and input means (104, 104') for entering data into said computer (101). The system has a data model (106) and a meta-data model (107) of the data source (107), memory locations (101) connected to the meta-data model (106, 107) arranged to store: an entity list (111) for entities corresponding to data items of the data source (105'). View factory means (115) is provided for generating and displaying user interface views of the entities (111) on the display (102). Further, the system has means for selectively and dynamically modifying the displayed user interface views, wherein meta-data descriptors (112, 120, 121, 122) of the meta-data model are changed, and means for displaying data reflected by the descriptors (112) in the user interface views upon entry of command by a user (109).</p> |
