<p>From the viewpoints of enhancing glutathione synthesizability in cells as a means which is different from the method of supplying a precursor amino acid used in the biosynthesis of glutathione or to be used together with the above method, it is intended to provide an oral composition containing an active ingredient other than a precursor amino acid whereby the biosynthesis of glutathione is promoted in cells so that a high glutathione level can be maintained in vivo (in a tissue or cells). Namely, an oral composition for elevating the glutathione concentration in vital cells which contains at least a rubrofusrain glycoside in an amount effective for elevating the glutathione concentration in vivo.</p> |
