The multiplexing and/or demultiplexing device has an input waveguide structure and an output waveguide structure, with a phase shifter between their free path regions and a coupling device (1) for feeding light to, or from, the input waveguide structure, which is displaced relative to the latter. The coupling device has 2 parallel arms (11,12) cooperating with a guide element (3) on their inside faces and displaced relative to the guide element, the parallel arms coupled via a carrier structure (14) at one end, provided with a light conductor, or a reception device (15) for a light conductor. An Independent claim for an optical coupling device for an optical data channel multiplexing and/or demultiplexing device is also included.
