The angle drive (1) has a machine socket (2) for attaching it to a drive device and a tool socket for the driven tool, e.g. a drill chuck (3) fitted with a drill bit (4). An independently operated motor (8) is incorporated in the angle drive and coupled to the tool socket for driving the latter. The motor can be provided by a pressurized air motor and is coupled to a coolant line (5) supplying it with a coolant.
