PURPOSE: A shift cable inspection device of an automatic transmission is provided to secure driver's convenience by removing disadvantage caused by problems resulting from inferior adjustment of a shift cable and long-term use of the shift cable and to nurse resources. CONSTITUTION: A shift cable inspection device of an automatic transmission comprises a photodiode(10) receiving light according to the position of an inhibitor switch; a transistor switched according to the operation of the photodiode; a first switching unit(30) connected when the transistor operates; a second switching unit(40) connected to a shift lever switch(60) and switched according to the position of the shift lever; and a warning light(50) turned on when a cable connected from the inhibitor switch to the shift lever is out of order.
