<p>The invention relates to a sustained release injection comprising anti- parasites. The active component carried in formulation exists as a particle of solid dispersion; preferably, the injection is solid dispersion particles consisted of macrolide insect repellents and hydrogenated castor oil (HCO); the preferred preparation process is solvent-nonsolvent method, comprising the following steps: dissolving envimycin in 1∼2-fold amount of dimethyl acetamide, mixing uniformly with melted HCO, then blending with water and glycerin, followed by grind to obtain a solid dispersion having a particle size <100 µ m, and adding injectable water and excipient to a final volume. Alternatively, a suspension injection is formulated by dispersing a prepared solid dispersion of HCO and envimycim into liquid vehicle. The present injection is biocompatible and provides an excellent sustained release effect.</p> |
