Method for identifying substances (A) with fungicidal activity against fungi that are resistant to fungicides that act on the Qo center of complex III (CIII). Method for identifying substances (A) with fungicifdal activity against fungi that are resistant to fungicides that act on the Qo center of complex III (CIII) comprises: (i) culturing a fungus (F1) of the genus Mycospherella; (ii) culturing a fungus (F2) that differs from F1 in having the Gly143Ala mutation in cytochrome b of CIII; (iii) comparing CIII activity of F1 and F2 cultures in presence of a test compound; and (iv) selecting compounds for which the ratio of amounts required for 50% inhibition of CIII activity in F1 and F2 is 1:1-1000.
