PURPOSE: Tooth paste obtained by using Glycyrrhizae Radix cleaning the mouth and controlling bacteria present in the mouth is provided. Therefore, it is low in cost compared to conventional tooth paste and used in the form of a liquid, powders and tablets. CONSTITUTION: Glycyrrhizae Radix is ground and tabletted or heated. For an example, Glycyrrhizae Radix is heated for about 1hr. 500L of a Glycyrrhizae Radix extract is blended with Glycyrrhizae Radix powder, kneaded and then tabletted to give a tablet having a size of 50mm and a thickness of 5mm. The Glycyrrhizae Radix extract also is used as mouthwash, denture cleanser or the like as well as toothpaste.
