A radio transmission method utilizing MIMO is disclosed. The mothod is characterized in that, MIMO adopts at least two (transmitting antennas to transmit the signal carriers, and at least one reception antenna to receive said signal carriers; also it needs multiple signal carriers arbitrarily disposed on each of the transmitting antennas. By introducing the conception of multiple signal carriers flexible distributed into the MIMO system, the present invention can increase the system capacity, raise the transfer rate of the data, and improve system performance. This is very advantaged for the future image, data and speech transmission which are strict with the transfer rate and performance. And through the introduction of this concept, a lot of technology applied to the single antenna can be used in MIMO system correspondingly.
