PURPOSE: A method for automatically setting a traffic channel using a WLL(Wireless Local Loop) terminal is provided to originate a telephone number and set the traffic channel according to a call method of a user of a general telephone when the user of the general telephone connected to the WLL terminal calls an object user of the WLL terminal using various call methods by embedding functions for performing several telephone number origination methods in the WLL terminal. CONSTITUTION: It is detected whether a subscriber telephone is in an off-hook state(S10). If the subscriber telephone is in the off-hook state, it is judged whether a telephone number is inputted(S14). If the telephone number is inputted, the inputted telephone number is stored in a dial buffer(S18). If an other telephone number is not inputted over the second setting time after the telephone number is inputted, a telephone number stored in the dial buffer is retrieved(S22). An origination message is transmitted to the retrieved telephone number by wireless(S40).
