PURPOSE: A multifunctional machine used as a facsimile with a short message service function, and a method for printing a facsimile image in the multifunctional machine are provided to prevent unnecessary facsimile image printing by deleting a facsimile image file by information including caller ID display of a received facsimile call. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(220) stores a facsimile image to a facsimile call. An information detector receives the facsimile call for detecting reception information including caller ID display, reception time, and page numbers. A short message converter(212) converts the reception information into a short message. An automatic dialing unit(213) automatically dials a telephone number of a user for transmitting the short message. A message analyzing unit(214) analyzes the message received from the user. A message processor(215) receives the analysis result for printing or deleting an image file related to the facsimile call. A scan unit(260) scans the image file. A print unit(250) prints the facsimile image according to a print signal of a facsimile control unit(210).
