PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for sorting/searching data are provided to allow a user to easily check and control data by sorting or searching data having inherent information according to predetermined conditions thereof. CONSTITUTION: A method for sorting/searching data includes the steps of receiving inherent information of data from an external environment(10) and sorting/searching the data according to inherent information of data(12). The data have their own inherent information. Inherent information of data includes at least one of a name of a user, a sort of working, and a date. Sorted or searched data are transmitted into the user(14). At this time, the data are visually displayed or printed for the user. An apparatus sorting/searching data includes an information input section, an information processing section and an information output section.
