The aim of the invention is to improve safety and increase the rate of vehicles driving along a route located between two termini, for example through a road tunnel (1), across a bridge, along a road, etc. Said aim is achieved by disposing at least one rail track (7, 9) within or on the roadway (5, 6). At least some of the vehicles (31, 33) are transported along the connecting route, such as through the tunnel, across the bridge, or along the road, on rail vehicles, tunnel vehicles, or cargo cars (13). The inventive method applies particularly for improving safety and increasing the rate of vehicles driving on or along a route that is suitable for road vehicles. |
