The flood barrier comprises a water-resistant aluminium plate (1) or similar inserted without much clearance in a rubber-like U-shaped profile (2) which is pushed onto the lower longitudinal edge of the plate and clings by suction along its hollowed area against the window sill. Rubber hoses (5) are pumped up with air to ensure a high level of water tightness along the lower side. The length of the plate should be measured accurately to ensure the rubber hose clings with sufficient pressure to both sides of the structure.
