The window air bed consists of a longish, closed inflatable buoyant component (1) with several chambers with an opening to hold a window component (2). The buoyant component has the largest volume in the middle so that a person lying prone is held above the water so that the hands and feet lie in the water in a relaxed position and the head located above the defined opening. The window component has a glass or plastic panel on the underside and a rubber lip conforming to the shape of a human face located on the upper side which with inflation of the buoyant component is fixed on account of its shape.
