<p>The present invention concerns a process for manufacturing a tyre. Said process comprises the steps of: a) providing an elastomeric layer on an outer surface of a toroidal support; b) manufacturing said green tyre on said toroidal support; c) introducing said green tyre supported on said toroidal support into a moulding cavity; d) introducing a fluid under pressure into the space defined between the inner surface of the green tyre and the toroidal support; e) curing the green tyre. Said process further comprises the step of the step of causing an electrical current to flow in at least a heating element provided to the outer surface of said toroidal support so as to obtain an at least partial precuring of said elastomeric layer. The present invention further relates to a toroidal support (10) which is provided with at least a heating element (20) covering at least a portion of the outer surface of said toroidal support, said heating element comprising, in a radial direction from the inside towards the outside of said heating element, athermally insulating layer (22) and an electrically resistive circuit (23). Preferably, the heating element (20) further comprises a protective layer (24) radially external to the electrically resistive circuit (23).</p> |
