PURPOSE: A burglar alarm device of a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to arrest a stolen vehicle with alarming sound by using a vehicle identification code and to prevent the stolen vehicle from being used for a crime. CONSTITUTION: An external transmitter(100) modulates an identification code of a stolen vehicle to high frequency wave and transmits high frequency wave outward with an antenna(ANT1). A receiver(101) installed to the vehicle receives a signal of high frequency wave with an antenna(ANT2) and outputs the signal of high frequency wave after amplifying the weak high frequency wave. A detecting unit(102) extracts the identification code by detecting high frequency wave received from the receiver. An identifying unit(103) of the identification code identifies and outputs the identification code. A comparing unit(105) of the identification code compares the identification code inputted from the identifying unit with a set identification code of a memory unit(104) and generates a signal after comparing. A sound generating unit(106) generates an alarming sound by the signal of the comparing unit of the identification code.
