The present invention relates to an electret transducer, which has surface layers (3) made of conducing material, between which layers there is electret material (1) and which surface layers include connecting elements (4) for connecting the transducer to a measuring apparatus. Characteristic to the electret transducer in accordance with the invention is the fact that between the electret material (1) and the surface layer (3) material layer (2) transversally conducting electricity has been placed.
