Parallel detection of many proteins, by immobilization, reaction with specific probes labeled by nucleic acid, then amplification of the labels and detection of amplicons

Method for simultaneous detection of many immobilized proteins, is new. Method for simultaneous detection of many immobilized proteins (I) comprises: (a) immobilizing (I) on a carrier matrix; (b) incubation with specific-binding probes (II) coupled to short nucleic acids (sNA); (c) removing unbound (II); (d) amplifying sNA on bound (II), with incorporation of a marker (M) during amplification; and (e) detecting the amplicons formed by using hybridization probes immobilized on a solid phase. The new feature is that many different (I) are immobilized on the matrix and are processed simultaneously, using many different (II), each coupled to different sNA.
