The arrangement has a light source(s) whose primary beam optical axis is inclined to an integrator's axis for inclined light entry into the integrator and a polarization-optical arrangement. The primary beam's focal point is in the integrator's light entry plane. A reflector is positioned so the reflected beam's focal point is outside the primary beam. Integrator light entry plane angular range expansion is compensated in the output plane. The arrangement has at least one light source (1), a homogenizing integrator (3) and a polarization-optical arrangement (2) between the source and integrator. The optical axis (6) of the primary beam (8) from the source is inclined relative to the integrator axis (7) to achieve an inclined light entry into the integrator and the primary beam's focal point is in the integrator's light entry plane (E). A reflective polarizer (2) is positioned so the reflected beam's (10) focal point is outside the primary beam. The expansion of the angular range in the integrator's light entry plane is compensated in the light output plane.
