PURPOSE: A refrigerant compression system of an air conditioner of an automobile and a control method of the same are provided to reduce load on an engine and deterioration of engine output due to driving of a compressor when an air-conditioning works by installing a separate auxiliary refrigerant line connecting an evaporator, a condenser and an expansion valve, and adding an auxiliary refrigerant compression unit on the auxiliary refrigerant line to introduce and compress refrigerant high speed head wind naturally introduced from a front side of the automobile so that the auxiliary refrigerant line and the auxiliary refrigerant compression unit introduce and compress refrigerant when current car speed and head wind pressure are over reference car speed and reference pressure. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerant compression system includes an auxiliary refrigerant line(6); two-way valves(7a,7b) and actuators(8a,8b) thereof; a first auxiliary refrigerant compression unit(20a) and a second auxiliary refrigerant compression unit(20b); a car speed sensor(15); a pressure sensor(16); and a control part(10) comparing current car speed and head wind pressure detected by the car speed sensor and the pressure sensor with reference car speed and reference pressure, and controlling driving of the first auxiliary refrigerant compression unit, the second auxiliary refrigerant compression unit, a compressor(2), an electromotive fan motor and the actuator.
