METHOD FOR INK JET PRINTING IMPERMEABLE MATERIAL AND PRETREATMENT COMPOSITION FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for performing ink jet printing simply and directly irrespective of properties of a material to be printed itself by performing certain pretreatment and posttreatment on an impermeable material such as plastic, glass and tile. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step (a) of forming a pretreatment solution coating layer(2) by coating a pretreatment solution comprising 15 to 20 weight parts of alkyd resin, 16 to 22 weight parts of toluene, 14 to 18 weight parts of xylene, 8 to 14 weight parts of methylethylketone, 2 to 5 weight parts of nitrocellulose and 30 to 35 weight parts of dimethylether on the surface of an impermeable material(1) to be printed; a step (b) of forming a printing layer(3) by printing a desired image on the pretreatment solution coating layer(2) using an ink jet printer; a step (c) of forming a UV coating layer(4) for reinforcing the surface of the UV coated printing layer by drying the UV coated printing layer at a temperature of 70 to 110 deg.C after coating UV on the printing layer of the impermeable material of the step (b); and a step (d) of forming a hard coating layer(5) by performing hard coating on the UV coated layer of the impermeable material of the step (c) using epoxy resin, wherein the step (a) further comprises a base coating step of forming a base coating layer(6) by coating a coating solution comprising 60 to 80 weight parts of epoxy resin, 10 to 14 weight parts of naphtha solvent and 10 to 14 weight parts of ethylene glycol on the impermeable material in advance before forming the pretreatment solution coating layer(2) by coating the pretreatment solution on the impermeable material.
