<p>A second memory cell of a second memory block has an area which is equal to an area of a first memory cell of a first memory block multiplied by 2a (a is a positive integer). By setting the sizes of the first and the second memory cell at a predetermined ratio, it is possible to easily make the sizes of the first memory block and the second memory block identical. Accordingly, it is possible to easily arrange in place a peripheral circuit such as a decoder to be arranged around the first and the second memory block. Moreover, wiring of a signal line connected to the peripheral circuit becomes easier. This improves layout design efficiency of a semiconductor integrated circuit. That is, it is possible to form a plurality of types of memory blocks into a semiconductor integrated circuit with a high efficiency. Since the layout becomes simple, it is possible to prevent increase of the chip size of the semiconductor integrated circuit depending on the layout design.</p> |
