PILE CUTTER FOR CIRCULAR KNITTING MACHINE

PURPOSE: Provided is a pile cutter which concisely cuts the loop pile of the fabric knitted by a circular knitting machine to make the printing roller conduct the moisture absorbing and supplying easily, thereby enhancing the printing quality. CONSTITUTION: The circular knitting machine comprises a base(32); a cylinder(33) installed at the base with a guide(34); and a needle cam(36) for elevating knit needles(35) fitted within the cylinder to form loop piles. The pile cutter for the circular knitting machine comprises a knife holder(43) installed at the base; knife grooves(44) radially formed at the top of the knife holder as many as the knit needles(35); knifes(46) fitted into the grooves each with a front intruding protrusion(47), an inclined blade(48) formed at the rear of the protrusion, a knife body(49) formed at the rear of the blade, and an operating protrusion(50) formed at the rear of the knife body upwardly; a knife holder cover(51) covering the knife holder with a knife cam groove(52) for receiving the operating protrusion of the knife such that the knife cuts the loop pile; and a loop clamp(60) installed directly under the knife to clamp the loop pile.
