Headings E2A and E2B A strap buckle is formed as a one piece moulding of synthetic plastics comprising a base 1 formed with a side wall 4 at each of its opposed longitudinal side edges, the base having a stud receiving aperture 2, a resilient arm 5 being disposed in laterally spaced relation to the base and two substantially rigid arms 6, 7 being provided spaced from the base and resilient arm, the substantially rigid arms defining a slot-like opening 8 aligned with the stud receiving aperture in the base, the arrangement being such that when a strap is threaded over the resilient arm and under both substantially rigid arms so as to extend across the stud receiving aperture, the stud when inserted into said aperture will abut the overlying portion of the strap and deflect the same into the slot-like opening so that the said portion of the strap will be frictionally gripped by portions of the stud and portions of the substantially rigid arms. In the construction shown the resilient arm is curved and has a convex face directed towards the longitudinal outer edge portions of side walls 4 of the buckle; the stud receiving opening is formed with radial slots 3 to enable the stud to be snap engaged through it. |
