PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer film which scarcely contains undissolved residues, is difficult to be broken when oriented, can be obtained at a low cost and in a high yield, and is useful for polarizing films, and to provide a polarizing film which scarcely contains undissolved residues, has few defects, and exhibits an excellent polarizing performance. SOLUTION: This polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer film is formed using polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer chips containing the chips having particle diameters of 5 mesh-pass to 100 mesh-on in an amount of >=95 wt.%. |
