A mobile transceiver front end for connecting an antenna to transmit signal components, the front end including a power amplifier for connection to the transmit components, the power amplifier having at least a final stage for feeding the antenna, a transmit isolation switch for selectively isolating the antenna from the transmit components and a receive isolation switch for selectively connecting receive signal components to the antenna and isolating the receive signal components from said final stage wherein the transmit isolation switch is connected in series with and upstream of the final stage of the power amplifier and the receive isolation switch is connected to the signal path between the final stage and an antenna matching network in the signal path. <IMAGE>
