摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery having high energy density by using an inorganic active material and a conductive polymer material as main components of a layer structure, and constituting the layer structure with a positive electrode active material having a specific total pore volume and a total pore surface area. SOLUTION: In the layer structure of the positive electrode active material layer of a composite electrode, the formed quantities of the total pore volume and total pore surface area are controlled, and the composite electrode having a high energy density can be manufactured. When the total pore volume is set to 0.1-0.4cm<3> /g and the total pore surface area is set to 2-5m<2> /g, the reactive area between a positive electrode active material and an electrolyte becomes a proper size, and the energy density can be increased. In the positive electrode active material layer, the pore volume having the pore diameter of 0.5&mu;m or below is 50% or above against the total pore volume, and the pore volume having the pore diameter of 0.5&mu;m or below is 0.1cm<3> /g or above.
