A collapsible baby carriage comprises a chair framework 1, supporting rods 4 for front and rear wheels 2, 3, and a linked braking device 8 which includes a collapsible main bar 80 connected to two pivoted brake members 820 each carrying a brake rod 821 engageable with notches formed on brake disks 31 positioned on the inner side of a rear-wheel 3. The main bar includes a collapsible member 81 whereby simultaneous braking of both left and right rear wheels 3 is possible without impairing the collapsing function of the baby carriage. All transverse supporting rods 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11 in the carriage are provided with similar collapsible members so that the framework can be not only folded and shortened in vertical direction but also in horizontal direction. A shopping bag 10 is slung beneath the chair framework.
