The coolant tube has a conical hollow shaft to supply coolant to a tool and an inlet opening (23) for coolant. An upper tube section (25) at least partly projects into a supply tube for coolant along with a holder clamped in the tool holder. A cover (31) is provided for the inlet opening (23) to prevent swarf from getting into the coolant tube. An exchangeable insert tube (59) holds the cover. An Independent claim is included for a tool holder.
