PURPOSE: A system for obtaining the feed rate of a machine tool is provided to offer convenience to a worker by explaining the feed rate of the machine tool numerically. CONSTITUTION: A system for obtaining the feed rate of a machine tool is composed of a ball screw(10) installed at the machine tool and used as a feed unit, a switch(120) adjacent to the feed and rotary direction of the ball screw and counting the feed and revolution of the ball screw, and a computer(30). The computer has a counter board(31) receiving a signal from the switch and counting the pulse, and a feed computing module(32) receiving data from the counter board and computing the feed rate of the machine tool.
