Coated copy paper

摘要

Coated copy paper characterised by having a discontinuous layer of an acid polymer individually covering each fibre in the paper without blocking up the spaces between the fibres. The acid polymer is pref. a phenolic polymer and is used at 9 to 272 g. per ream of 500 sheets (61 x 91.5 cm.). The polymer is applied to the paper as a soln. by means of a flexographic printing press. The natural absorption properties of the paper towards inks are not affected by this process in which a rough surface of large area is formed.
