PURPOSE: A pumping loss reduction apparatus of an engine for a vehicle is provided to improve performance of the engine and improve fuel consumption and emission by reducing pumping loss in a suction stroke and reducing a counter current of exhaust gas at an overlap range in an exhaust stroke. CONSTITUTION: A pumping loss reduction apparatus of an engine for a vehicle has a spring(15) installed inside a spring support unit(14); a main exhaust port(12) formed in the longitudinal direction; a body part(11) with an auxiliary exhaust port(13) vertically formed to the upper end of the main exhaust port. The body part is installed inside a valve(3) through friction welding, to take in freshness passing through the valve. The freshness is taken into a cylinder just when the main exhaust port and the auxiliary exhaust port are accorded.
