PURPOSE: Provided are an anticancer compound from Viscum album coloratum, a process for isolation thereof and a pharmaceutical and nutritional composition comprising the same. The compound has excellent inhibition effect on the proliferation of cancer cells and is thus useful for foods and medicine for the prevention and treatment of cancer. CONSTITUTION: An anticancer compound from Viscum album coloratum is isolated and extracted by the steps of: extracting Viscum album coloratum with ethanol, filtering under reduced pressure or freeze-drying the extract; obtaining a dichloromethane extract containing epi-oleanolic acid; and fractioning the extract by column chromatography and HPLC to obtain VD-3.
