PURPOSE: A method for welding a filler pipe of a fuel tank is provided to improve quality and productivity when welding the filler pipe with an upper panel by utilizing an arc brazing technique. CONSTITUTION: A convex terminal is formed in an upper panel of a fuel tank in such a manner that a welding metal is easily solidified at a welding portion formed between a filler pipe and the welding metal. An end of a filler wire makes contact with the welding portion and current is applied to the welding portion through a power line. Arc heat is generated due to current applied between a base metal and the filler wire. The filler wire is welded to the welding portion by using arc heat. Then, an overlapping work is carried out by using a welding wire capable of preventing a welding fault.
