METHOD FOR RECOVERING TEICOPLANIN A2 FROM FERMENTED MEDIUM

PURPOSE: A method for recovering teicoplanin A2 from a fermented medium is provided, thereby recovering higher purity teicoplanin A2. CONSTITUTION: A method for recovering teicoplanin A2 from a fermented medium comprises the steps of: filtering the cultured broth medium of Actinoplanes teichomyceticus to separate cell clot from filtrate; dissolving the cell clot in a 15 to 30%(v/v) acetone solution; filtering the cell clot dissolved solution and concentrating the filtrate; mixing the concentrate with the filtrate of the cultured broth medium; passing the mixed solution through silane coated silica gel column; cleaning the column with a 0.2% sodium phosphate-containing 10 to 20% acetonitrile solution; and eluting the column with a 0.2% sodium phosphate-containing 27 to 31% acetonitrile solution.
