OFDM TRANSMITTER CAPABLE OF IMPROVING TRANSMISSION EFFICIENCY OF DIGITAL BROADCASTING SIGNAL AND SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An OFDM transmitter capable of improving transmission efficiency of a digital broadcasting signal and a signal processing method of the transmitter are provided to prevent a digital broadcasting signal from being distorted by an analog broadcasting signal. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM transmitter includes a forward error correction unit(100), a null signal generator(200), a frame format unit(400), and an inverse discrete Fourier transformer(500). The forward error correction unit outputs a coded OFDM signal for correcting an error generated while an OFDM signal is transmitted. The null signal generator generates a null signal. The frame format unit inserts the null signal into frequency bands occupied by analog broadcasting signal. The inverse discrete Fourier transformer inverse-discrete-Fourier-transforms the coded OFDM signal into which the null signal has been inserted. The OFDM transmitter further includes a multiplexer(300) for selectively outputting the null signal and the coded OFDM signal.
